Hammers v Lurkers (3-1) 

The Hammers came out with intent, producing a reeling first quarter display. But Lurkers captain and keeper Mattie S. kept his side in it by allowing just the one goal.  

The Hammers went close several more times in the half and eventually found the back of the net once more on a deft volley from captain David L.

Melissa F. received WSP's Most Valuable Player award last Sunday night.

As co-captain of Berry Park, she helped take the newest team in the WSP to a second-place finish in the league tables. And it was a close finish too - just one point behind the league champions.

Melissa was also the highest female points earner at BIP.

FC Headers defeated Team Hawk 2-0 in the WSP's Bushwick Inlet Park league on Sunday night.

Fernando C. of Argentina (pictured left) scored the only two goals of the match, revealing why he was last season's Golden Boot winner.
